The city has the Port of Santa Cruz de La Palma.

• For travel by sea, companies such as Naviera Armas and Fred Olsen offer daily connetions from the port Los Cristianos in Tenerife. Depending on the boat the journey takes between 2,5 to 4 hours. More information in

From the airport there is a shuttle bus or taxi service with an approximate duration of fifteen minutes.

If you are staying in the Los Cancajos area, you can get there on foot in a journey lasting forty-five minutes or by bus (they are called guaguas in the Canary Islands) in a journey of about fifteen minutes or by taxi.

If you are staying in another municipality on the island of La Palma, you can reach Santa Cruz de La Palma by bus through Transportes Insular de La Palma.
